About Salok Mahalla 9
Salok Mahalla 9 is a collection of 57 sacred couplets composed by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji - the Ninth Sikh Guru (1621–1675). Known as the Shield of Humanity, Guru Ji gave his life to protect religious freedom for the oppressed people in those times.
These verses appear at the close of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji (Ang 1426) and carry one urgent, loving message: this life is short, the world is temporary — remember Vaheguru.
