ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਗਇਆ ਭਾਉ ਭਗਤਿ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥

The fear of birth and death is removed by performing loving devotion for Vaheguru.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਬਿਨਾ ਭਾਉ ਨਹੀ ਊਪਜੈ ਭਾਵ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਇ ਤੇਰੀ ॥

Without the Saadh Sangat, love for Vaheguru does not develop; without love, there is no devotional worship.

ਸੇ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਜਿਨਾ ਮਨਿ ਇਹੁ ਭਾਉ ॥

Very fortunate are those, O Nanak, whose minds are filled with this love (of uniting with Vaheguru through the Sangat).
