ਜਾਤਾ in Gurbani

ਅਪਣਾ ਆਪੁ ਨ ਪਛਾਣਈ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਦੂਰਿ ॥

(Manmukh) does not understand himself and believes Vaheguru to be far away. Ang 854

ਭਗਤਿ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥

Gurmukh realises (the value of) the treasure of devotion; this understanding comes from the True Guru. Ang 909

ਤੇਰਾ ਜਨੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਮਾਤਾ ॥ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਉਪਜੀ ਛੋਡਿ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਜਾਤਾ ॥

Your humble servant, O Vaheguru, is intoxicated with Your essence (Naam). One who finds the treasure of Your Love, does not leave it to go elsewhere. Ang 532
