ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਮੋਹਿ ਦੀਨੁ ਭੇਖਾਰੀ ਤੁਮੑ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਉਪਕਾਰੇ ॥
O Vaheguru, You are the Great Giver, and I am just a poor beggar; You are forever merciful to me.
ਕਬੀਰ ਦੀਨੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਦੁਨੀ ਸਿਉ ਦੁਨੀ ਨ ਚਾਲੀ ਸਾਥਿ ॥
Kabeer, the man loses his faith, for the sake of the world, but the world does not go with him in the end.
ਖਬਰਿ ਨ ਕਰਹਿ ਦੀਨ ਕੇ ਬਉਰੇ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਲੇਖੈ ॥
(O Qaazi) You do not realise (that Allah is within you), you are a religious fanatic, and thus wasting your life.
ਸਰਬਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਭਗਤ ਕਉ ਦੀਨ ॥
Vaheguru’s devotee is given the treasure of Naam.
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਾ ਮੁਖੁ ਕਾਲਾ ਹੋਆ ਦੀਨ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਕੈ ਦਰਬਾਰਿ ॥
The faces of the slanderers are blackened in the courts of this world, and the world beyond.
ਦੀਨ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਤੇਰੀ ਟੇਕ ॥
In this and the next world, I rely only on You, Vaheguru.
