ਪਾਪੁ ਬੁਰਾ ਪਾਪੀ ਕਉ ਪਿਆਰਾ ॥
Sin is bad, but it is dear to the sinner.
ਪਾਪ ਕਰਹਿ ਪੰਚਾਂ ਕੇ ਬਸਿ ਰੇ ॥ ਤੀਰਥਿ ਨਾਇ ਕਹਹਿ ਸਭਿ ਉਤਰੇ ॥
They commit sins, under the influence of the five thieves. Bathing at holy places, they claim that everything has been washed off.
ਭਰੀਐ ਮਤਿ ਪਾਪਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥ ਓਹੁ ਧੋਪੈ ਨਾਵੈ ਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ॥
When the mind is polluted by sins, it can only be cleansed by the Love of Vaheguru’s Name.
ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਤ ਪਾਪ ਲਹਾਨ ॥
Singing Vaheguru’s Praises, sins are washed away.
ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਲਤ ਸਭ ਪਾਪ ਲਹਿ ਜਾਈ ॥
O GurSikhs, O my Siblings, recite the Name of Vaheguru. Reciting Vaheguru's Name, all sins are washed away.
