ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਿਖ ਦੇਇ ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਝੂਠ ਪਸਾਰੇ ॥

Nanak gives this advice: O beloved mind, without Vaheguru, all outward show is false.

ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਪਿਆਸ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਅੰਤਰੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥

Those who are thirsty for You, O my Beloved (Vaheguru), are not separated from You.

ਹਉ ਰਹਿ ਨ ਸਕਾ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੇਖੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਾ ਮੈ ਨੀਰੁ ਵਹੇ ਵਹਿ ਚਲੈ ਜੀਉ ॥

I cannot survive without seeing my Beloved. My eyes are flowing with tears.
