ਧਨੁ ਜੋਬਨੁ ਅਰੁ ਫੁਲੜਾ ਨਾਠੀਅੜੇ ਦਿਨ ਚਾਰਿ ॥

Wealth, youth, and flowers are guests only for few days.

ਵਡੇ ਵਡੇ ਰਾਜਨ ਅਰੁ ਭੂਮਨ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨ ਨ ਬੂਝੀ ॥

There are greatest of the great kings and landlords; even their desires are not satisfied.

ਬਿਨਸੈ ਮੋਹੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਅਪਨੀ ਧਾਰੀ ॥

May my attachment, my sense of mine and yours, and my selfhood vanishes.

ਜਲ ਤਰੰਗ ਅਰੁ ਫੇਨ ਬੁਦਬੁਦਾ ਜਲ ਤੇ ਭਿੰਨ ਨ ਹੋਈ ॥

The water waves, and foam, bubbles are not separate from water.

ਇਹੁ ਅਰੁ ਓਹੁ ਜਬ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਬ ਮਿਲਤ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੋਇ ॥

When this soul and that (Vaheguru) are merged, then, having been blended, no one can distinguish them separately.

ਜਿਉ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਅਰੁ ਪੇਖਨਾ ਐਸੇ ਜਗ ਕਉ ਜਾਨਿ ॥

Like a dream and a show, so is this world, you must know.
